Marshfield Clinic, a US-based nonprofit heathcare system which operates medical clinics in Wisconsin, has agreed to collaborate with Cleveland Clinic, a US-based nonprofit multi-specialty academic medical centre, and to join the Heathcare Innovation Alliance (‘Alliance’) run by Cleveland Clinic.
As a member of the Alliance, Marshfield Clinic Applied Sciences, a research, development and commercialization unit of Marshfield, will be able to access the technology and commercialization capabilities of Cleveland Clinic Innovations (CCI), the corporate venturing arm of Cleveland Clinics. CCI will assist Marshfield Clinic in recognizing, patenting, licensing and ultimately commercializing innovations
Marshfield Clinic joins current Alliance members MedStar Health, North Shore-LIJ, University of Notre Dame, Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, ProMedica and Innovations Institute.
Dr. Thomas J. Graham, chief innovation officer at Cleveland Clinic, said: “The Healthcare Innovation Alliance supports the acceleration of technologies that extend and improve human life.
