Stefan Kuentz, a partner at Swisscom Ventures, introduced Switzerland-based innovation management-as-a-service platform operator Rready. Dave Hengartner, co-founder and chief executive of the latter company, was unable to attend.
Rready was spun out of Switzerland-based telecommunications firm Swisscom’s Digital Business unit in May this year with the team that had built Getkickbox, the firm’s innovation tool that forms part of software supplier Adobe’s Kickbox innovation process. Swisscom holds a minority stake in Getkickbox through Swisscom Ventures.
Adobe’s former head strategist Mark Randall had initially come up with Kickbox, which was then further developed by Swisscom with the innovation software Getkickbox. Kuentz described Rready as a Swisscom Ventures spinout created from a Silicon Valley-developed innovation method.
“We make the Kickbox innovation program scalable while ensuring an efficient management and measurement creating visibility for the ideas and entrepreneurs,” Kuentz said.
Swisscom Ventures announced that it is joining an early-stage syndicate that includes venture capital firm Fyrfly Venture Partners, among other investors, to back the company. Their aim is to use software to foster the intrapreneurial spirit and build innovation processes.
