ShareThis, a US-based technology company which creates social sharing buttons for websites, has raised $7m from private investment firm Jump Capital, adding to its existing $23m series C funding round, taking its total series C funding raised to $29.9m out of a $30m target.
The new funding will be used to improve ShareThis’ social sharing tools.
Previously, ShareThis raised a first tranche of $23m round of series C financing in March 2013, led by T-Ventures, the venture capital arm of Deutsche Telekom. The round also saw involvement from venture capital firms Harbourton, Blue Chip Venture Company, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Illinois Ventures, Matthew Pritzker Company, Mercury Fund and RPM Ventures.
ShareThis has now raised a total of $54m in funding which includes $6m in series A funding in 2007 and $15m in a B round in 2008.
