Dollar Shave Club, a US-based e-commerce company which sells razors on a monthly subscription, home delivery basis, has raised $12m in a series B investment round supported by previous investor, venture capital firm Venrock and including participation from Comcast Ventures, the venture capital affiliate of cable television company Comcast Corporation, and venture capital firms New World Ventures and Battery Ventures.
Previously, Dollar Shave Club raised $9.8m in a series A round in 2012, led by Venrock, and a $1m seed round also in 2012 from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Forerunner Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, Shasta Ventures and Felicis Ventures.
Dollar Shave Club plans to start selling further new products and develop itself into a “men’s lifestyle brand”.
