Daven Nijran-Talwar joined REV Venture Partners, the corporate venture capital unit of information analytics provider Relx, as investment analyst in September 2018, before being promoted to investment associate in March 2021.
Formed in 2000, REV Venture Partners intends to help developers that can transform the industries through data, technology and analytics, with a focus on the bid data, internet, enterprise technology and digital health sectors. It typically invests in early and mid-stage rounds, with ticket sizes ranging between $1m and $10m.
The unit has deployed more than $250m in early-stage companies across various sectors including Palantir, MemSQL, Recorded Future, Babbel, TigerConnect, EdCast, Siperian and Mode Analytics. The team is active in multiple ecosystem hubs such as San Francisco, New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Seattle, London, Berlin and Tel Aviv.
Currently, the unit’s active portfolio includes companies such as cybersecurity company Sixgill, legal work automation platform Legalmation, artificial intelligence (AI) model software BeyondMinds, AI text analytics software Netbase Quid, language learning company Babbel and farm management software provider Agworld, among others.
Before joining REV Venture Partners, Nijran-Talwar spent two years at accounting and advisory company PricewaterhouseCoopers as senior associate in the consultant division, specialising in non-financial risk management and risk strategy.
He holds a master of science in economy, risk and society from the London School of Economics and a bachelor of arts in social anthropology from University of Kent.
