Solana Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of blockchain technology provider Solana, has formed a $100m investment and grant vehicle with Solana Foundation, which manages the Solana blockchain platform, to invest in South Korea-based Web3 technology developers, Johnny Lee, general manager of games for Solana Labs, told TechCrunch today. Austin Federa, head of communications at Solana Labs, added that the fund includes backing from the Solana community treasury as well as capital from Solana Ventures.

Ecuador-based digital payment technology developer Kushki increased its series B round to $186m yesterday with a $100m extension featuring internet and telecommunications group SoftBank’s Latin America Fund. The second tranche included Kaszek, Clocktower Ventures and Dila Capital and values the company at $1.5bn according to TechCrunch. All four investors had joined Magma Partners and an undisclosed growth equity firm in the round’s $86m first close in June 2021, at a valuation of $600m.
