Investment firm Francisco Partners has paid $750m to acquire a 90% stake in Kobalt, a US-based music services provider backed by media firm Hearst and internet group Alphabet, according to Music Business Worldwide.

Germany-based baking ingredient provider Martin Braun-Gruppe has formed a corporate venturing arm in a bid to back bakery technology developers, having teamed up with agritech-focused accelerator StartLife for the initiative.
