Marissa Campise has been appointed as a partner at SoftBank Capital, the corporate venturing unit of Japan-based telecommunications company SoftBank, Re/code reported on Friday.
Campise was formerly a vice president at Venrock, the venture capital firm set up by the Rockefeller family. She will focus her talents on mobile and connected devices, both in the consumer and enterprise worlds.
Past investments Campise has been involved with include social media analytics company Klout, Trumaker, which is an e-commerce platform for made-to-measure male clothing, and customer-business engagement company Livefyre.
Before her three years at Venrock, Campise was employed by venture capital partnership Greycroft Partners, firstly as a senior associate and later as a principal.
