US-based cloud security company Skyhigh Networks raised $40m in series C financing on Monday in a round featuring cloud computing business Salesforce.com.
The round was co-led by venture capital firms Greylock Partners and Sequoia Partners, and took Skyhigh’s total funding to $66.5m since it was founded in 2011. Greylock and Sequoia were also the investors in the company’s $20m series B round in May 2013.
Skyhigh intends to use the financing to accelerate its expansion internationally, and to drove additional innovation for its Discover, Analyze and Secure product.
Rajiv Gupta, Skyhigh’s chief executive, said: “With this funding we will expand sales and double down on product innovation to continue to deliver the industry’s most comprehensive, effective, and easy-to-consume cloud security offering.”
