US-based software delivery management company JFrog has raised $7m in a series B round including cloud software producer VMware, according to GigaOM.
Founded in Israel in 2008, JFrog provides software developers with a binary repository management platform. The company recently released Bintray, a distribution platform to open-source projects for publishers and consumers.
The latest round also featured a return investment from venture capital fund Gemini Ventures.
JFrog raised $3.5m in a series A round in 2012 from Gemini that was used to expand into the US, and received a $1m Chief Scientist grant from the Israeli government in 2011.
The new funds will enable JFrog to expand its research and development efforts and increase its open source activities.
