Yuantiku finds answers with $15m series C

Yuantiku, a China-based exam question database, has raised $15m in series C funding in a round including IDG Capital Partners, a corporate venturing subsidiary of digital publishing group International Data Group, Technode reported yesterday.

Venture capital firm Matrix Partners China also took part in the round.

Yuantiku’s service allows users to access customised practice tests for university and high school entrance exams, civil servant exams and other tests, based on official tests used in previous years. The new funds will be used for improved marketing and branding, and to upgrade Yuantiku’s product offering.

Yuantiku was founded in 2012 and prior to 2013 was previously known as Fenbi.com. Fenbi raised $7m in a 2013 series B round featuring IDG alongside Matrix Partners.

Prior to this, the company raised RBM10m ($1.6m) in a series A round led by IDG in 2012.
