United Airlines has announced several new corporate partners in its fund that finances sustainable aviation fuel startups.
The United Airlines Ventures Sustainable Flight Fund’s new backers include Google, French engineering firm Technip Energies, Air New Zealand, Brazilian aerospace company Embraer, HIS and Aircastle, a Marubeni and Mizuho leasing company. The fund will also be backed by venture firms such as Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking, a subsidiary of retail banking company Group BPCE, and Safran Corporate Ventures, the corporate venture arm of aerospace and defence company Safran.
The fund now has more than $200m in committed capital and 22 corporate partners.
The United Airlines Ventures Sustainable Flight Fund was launched in February 2023. It aims to reduce aviation emissions and drive the production of sustainable aviation fuels.
