Renee DiResta has left her position as a principal at O’Reilly AlphaTech Ventures (OATV), the corporate venturing unit owned by digital media company O’Reilly Media, to join shipping service startup Haven.
DiResta revealed the news in a blog post on Friday. Although she has left OATV, DiResta will continue to invest in startups, both as an angel and as part of an internet of things syndicate on venture crowdfunding site AngelList.
Haven is a service that automates ocean freight reservations, providing guaranteed capacity and transparent billing to shippers. DiResta revealed that OATV has provided some seed funding for the company along with undisclosed angels and VCs.
