US-based employee engagement platform developer Glint secured $15.5m yesterday in a series A round co-led by Norwest Venture Partners, the venture capital firm that manages funds for financial services firm Wells Fargo.
Shasta Ventures co-led the round, and the firms were joined by Ev Williams, the co-founder of longform content platform Medium and former CEO of social media network Twitter. The funding represents two rounds raised by Glint, which was founded in 2013.
Glint has created an analytics platform that measures employees’ engagement in real-time, enabling employers to take action to retain talent. It launched the platform concurrently with the disclosure of the funding round.
The company will use the series A funding to support product development, increase marketing efforts and expand its customer support team.
Jason Pressman, managing director of Shasta Ventures, said: “Especially with the current war for talent, Glint’s solution addresses a pressing need in the market. Using people data to empower leaders and managers to drive employee engagement is a strategic weapon.”
