UK-based brain training app developer Peak has secured £4.8m ($7m) in a series A round featuring Qualcomm Ventures, the investment arm of semiconductor company Qualcomm, Techworld reported on Thursday.
The round also included venture capital firms Creandum, DN Capital and London Venture Partners. DN Capital and London Ventures previously contributed to Peak’s $3m seed round in 2013.
Founded in 2012, Peak aims to make brain training more enjoyable, enabling players to improve their cognitive skills and build healthy training habits with fun but challenging games.
The app is free but players can get in-depth tracks and understanding of their cognitive performance in the paid pro version. Co-founder and CEO Itamar Lesuisse said he would use the funding to build out the team of three neuroscientists currently working on Peak.
