Vox mobilises $6.7m in Telus-backed round

US-based mobility management technology provider Vox Mobile completed a $6.7m investment round on Friday featuring Telus Ventures, the corporate venturing unit owned by telecommunications company Telus.

The round also included venture capital fund Mutual Capital Partners, growth equity firm Edison Partners and private equity firm Permal Capital.

Vox’s technology helps businesses manage their mobile infrastructure. It raised $7.5m in 2012, according to a regulatory filing.

Peter Green, president of business sales for Telus said: “Telus has successfully collaborated with Vox Mobile for a number of our customers since 2012.

“This investment round has given Vox Mobile the capital necessary to reach international markets, and I look forward to providing strategic support to the company’s international growth once I join their board of directors in conjunction with this financing.”
