Andrew McCartney, a CEO in residence at software company Microsoft’s corporate venturing subsidiary Microsoft Ventures, has formed a venture capital fund called Whitespace Ventures as a founding partner, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Whitespace is based in London, UK and will combine growth equity, corporate venturing and fund management in a fund that will support internet of things, deep science and corporate spin-outs.
McCartney has been an entrepreneur in residence at Microsoft for almost two years, also working as a technical director for the company from December 2012 to July 2014.
