China-based online travel agency Duzhoumo has raised $20m in series A funding from investors including Legend Capital, the corporate venturing unit of conglomerate Legend Holdings, China Money Network reported earlier today.
Banyan Capital, eGarden Ventures and angel investor Jason Jiang, founder of advertising company Focus Media Holding, also contributed to the round.
Duzhoumo operates a travel website and smartphone app focused on weekend trips. Users can book hotel rooms, transportation and packages through the app.
The company will use the series A funding to support marketing efforts, improve its existing offering and develop new products. Duzhoumo also plans on expanding into South China.
