Hervé Schricke is set to leave his position as chairman of Xange Private Equity, the France-based private equity fund backed by postal service La Poste, at the end of this month.
Shricke helped to launch Xange at its launch in 2001 as CEO, before moving sideways in September 2014 to become chairman.
Schricke will form an African club within AIFC, France’s private equity and venture capital trade body, of which he previously served as chairman between 2010 and 2012, he told Global Corporate Venturing.
The move follows a large-scale reorganisation of AIFC in May this year. La Banque Postale, La Poste’s financial services subsidiary, divested its 90% share in the fund to private equity firm Siparex, which in turn sold a 20% stake back to La Poste, which will oversee its stake directly.
