India-based healthcare consultancy and diagnostic platform Welcome Cure has raised $6m in seed funding from investors including media conglomerate Bennett Coleman, according to VCCircle.
Bennett Coleman is said to have committed $5m in the form of an advertising-for-equity deal. The remaining capital was provided by unnamed angel investors, according to NextBigWhat.
Founded in 2014, Welcome Cure operates an online platform for users to get advice on homeopathic treatments from practitioners through video chat, email and phone.
Welcome Cure offers a subscription model which starts at $250 for three months, going up to $1,000 for two years. The seed funding will support further development of the platform as well as the company’s marketing efforts.
