US-based analytics software developer Pendo raised $11m in a series A round on Wednesday featuring Salesforce Ventures, the investment unit of cloud computing platform Salesforce.com.
Venture capital firm Battery Ventures led the round, while Contour Venture Partners, Core Capital Partners and IdeaFund Partners also contributed capital.
Founded in 2013, Pendo offers software-as-a-service that helps developers understand how users are interacting with their applications, helping them to drive engagement and provide a personalised experience to their clients.
The money will be used to increase marketing and sales efforts. Neeraj Agrawal, general partner of Battery, will join Pendo’s board.
Pendo secured $1m in a November 2014 seed round co-led by Core Capital and Contour Venture Partners. IdeaFund and Brett Queener, former executive vice president of Salesforce, also participated in that round.
The company subsequently obtained $1.25m in debt financing in March 2015, according to a regulatory filing.
