India-based app monetisation service Pokkt has secured $5m in series B funding backed by SingTel Innov8, the corporate venturing subsidiary of telecoms firm Singapore Telecommunications, Iamwire reported yesterday.
Segnel Venture, Jafco Asia, Jungle Ventures assorted angel investors also participated in the round.
Founded in 2012, Pokkt operates a mobile video advertising and app monetisation platform, which enables mobile games developers to generate revenue through in-app adverts. The company currently offers the service to developers in India and Southeast Asia.
The money will support technology and product development and a recruitment drive.
SingTel Innov8 Jafco Asia, Jungle Ventures and angel investor K Ganesh provided $2.5m in series A capital in July 2014. Jungle Ventures led a seed round of undisclosed size in 2013, featuring participation from private backer Samir Bangara.
