Israel-based virtual reality technology producer WakingApp obtained $4.3m in series C funding yesterday from investors including games developer Youzu Interactive and an unnamed China-based internet company.
Inimiti VC and Globis Capital also backed the round.
Founded in 2013, WakingApp provides a range of tools to easily and quickly create augmented reality content.
The money will go towards further development of its technology and increased sales, marketing and business development efforts in both the US and China. Youzu Interactive is set to support WakingApp’s expansion into China.
WakingApp has not disclosed details about its series A and B rounds. It raised $1m in seed capital from unnamed investors in July 2014 and claimed to have secured approximately $2m in total funding as of June 2015.
