Shanghai Joyu, the parent company of China-based travel booking service Lvmama and a portfolio company of travel conglomerate Jinjang International, has listed on China’s National Equities Exchange and Quotations market, China Money Network has reported.
Founded in 2008, Lvmama offers a service for travellers to book tours, hotel rooms and cruises. The website also lets users purchase entrance tickets for tourist attractions and obtain visas.
Lvmama, which claims to have served more than 14 million tourists this year, acts as the online subsidiary of Shanghai Joyu. The parent company also provides other travel-related services such as marketing.
Lvmama obtained $80m in series E funding from Jinjang in June 2015. The company has raised approximately $152m in total funding from investors also including GX Capital, South River Capital, Sequoia Capital, CDH Fund, HuaQiao and DoJane Capital.
