China-based online education platform Juesheng has closed a RMB200m ($31m) series C round featuring young adult book publisher Tangel Publishing and IT training company Tarena International, according to China Money Network.
A range of unnamed private individuals also participated in the round.
Founded in 2011, Juesheng partners education providers to offer their products to teachers and students. The company claims to have more than 14 million users and its app has been downloaded more than 16 million times.
Juesheng previously secured an undisclosed amount in a May 2015 series B round featuring private education services provider New Oriental Education and Technology. The round was led by ChinaEquity Group and also included Linear Venture.
New Oriental, ChinaEquity and High Ground Capital provided an undisclosed amount of series A funding for Juesheng in 2014. According to CrunchBase, the round was sized at $1m, thoughh that claim is unsourced.
Ameba Capital supplied an undisclosed sum of angel funding for the company in 2013, while angel investor Fritz Demopoulos has also been named as an early backer.
