BlueCross BlueShield Venture Partners, the corporate venturing arm of health insurance association Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, has led a $7.5m round for US-based chemotherapy support services provider Oncology Analytics.
Venture capital firm Sandbox Industries also participated in the round, through its Sandbox Advantage Fund.
Founded in 2015 by Marc Fishman, Oncology Analytics has built a platform that gives oncology care providers real-time expertise that can help them make informed decisions about giving quality care without unnecessary expense.
Thomas Hawes, managing director of Sandbox Industries and BlueCross BlueShield Venture Partners’ representative on Oncology Analytics’ board, said: “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Dr. Fishman and the rest of the Oncology Analytics team to help raise the standard of care for oncology patients across the country.
