Belgium-based beverage and brewing company Annheuser Busch InBev has launched an accelerator initiative in association with accelerator Techstars, named Techstars Connection.
The scheme will focus on startups working on products, services and experiences with a social aspect, such as platforms for curated and personalised content, or companies exploiting raw materials, fermentation and brewing to produce healthy products.
Techstars Connection will take place in New York City and will run from October 2016 to January 2017. Startups will receive the opportunity to network with investors and mentors as part of the program.
ZX Ventures, AB InBev’s incubator and corporate venturing arm, will support Techstars Connection, though further details have not been revealed.
The program is the fourth Techstars has launched in New York City. It collaborated with financial services firm Barclays on Barclays NYC, a fintech accelerator launched in February 2015.
