US-based customer engagement technology startup Amplero completed an $8m series A round featuring Salesforce Ventures, the strategic investment arm of enterprise software producer Salesforce.com, on Thursday.
Venture capital firm Wildcat Venture Partners led the round, which also included Globys/Trilogy Equity Partners, the VC partnership formed by data analytics technology provider Globus and investment firm Trilogy Equity Partnership, and VC fund Seven Peaks Ventures.
Spun out from Globys earlier this year, Amplero has developed a machine learning-equipped enterprise-grade marketing platform that automatically optimises each interaction with a customer to enhance lifetime value and loyalty.
The funding will provide Amplero with a base to expand from its core customer base in the telecommunications industry to reach new clients in the gaming, financial services and subscription software sectors, expanding its team in the process.
Olly Downs, CEO and data scientist at Amplero, said: “Between our revolutionary product, this infusion of smart capital and our world-class team, we could not be more eager to accelerate our go-to-market strategy and enable marketers to achieve what is not humanly possible.”
