Verizon Ventures, the corporate venturing division of US phone operator Verizon Communications, has been revealed as the strategic investor in 4Home, which closed its $6.8m series B round in the first three months of the year.
Mobile network company 4Home is already working with Verizon’s LTE Innovation Center and showed applications running over the fourth generation mobile phone network at the Consumer Electronic Show in January.
4Home disclosed Verizon’s investment last week in a statement and provides connected home services, which include energy management, home security and monitoring, media management and home health. Its venture capital investors are Pond Venture Partners and Parker Price Venture Capital.
