NTT Finance, the financial services arm of telecommunications conglomerate NTT Group, has contributed to a $51m series E round for US-based cloud data protection provider Druva.
The round was led by venture capital firm Sequoia India and included EDBI, the investment arm of Singapore’s statutory board Economic Development Board, as well as Blue Cloud Ventures, Hercules Capital, Nexus Venture Partners and Tenaya Capital.
Druva’s technology enables businesses to identify critical information located in the cloud and protect that data. The platform combines backup, disaster recovery, archival and governance features into a single interface.
The series E funds will go towards product development and adoption, and sales and marketing efforts as the company aims to continue its global expansion.
Druva has now raised a total of $118m in funding to date. Sequoia, Nexus and Tenaya previously provided $25m in series D funding in 2014 and $25m in series C capital in 2013.
Indian Angel Network is also a shareholder in Druva, having invested in a $5m series A round in 2010.
