Brady Forrest, co-founder of Ireland-based manufacturing services provider PCH’s Highway1 hardware incubator, has stepped down from his vice-president role but will remain at the unit as an advisor, TechCrunch has reported.
Forrest co-founded Highway1 with Liam Casey in San Francisco in June 2013. It invests between $50,000 and $100,000 in hardware startups, and also provides networking and mentorship services.
Kurt Dammermann, co-founder of PCH’s design and engineering division, PCH Lime Lab, will take up the leadership reins at Highway1 as vice-president. Dammerman, who previously served as an engineering director at gaming hardware producer Astro Gaming, will start his new role in December 2016.
Forrest told TechCrunch he intends to focus on other projects, including Ignite, a series of fast-paced, five-minute talks in which speakers explain concepts by presenting 20 slides, each of which advance every 15 seconds.
