US-based private equity firm TPG Capital has agreed to acquire a 35% stake in sports and entertainment marketing group Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and for them both to create a $500m pledge fund for investments in the sector.
CAA has already launched a fund to finance films and built an investment bank to advise on media deals.
