Insurance technology-focused accelerator Startupbootcamp InsurTech has formed a collaboration agreement with insurance provider Zurich Insurance Group that will involve Zurich providing resources for the initiative and accessing the startups.
Antony Elliott, head of business transformation for Zurich Insurance, said: “From what we have seen so far, this year’s selection of startups have some really innovative approaches to improving how the insurance industry works for customers, as well as to increase operational efficiency.
“For us, it is great to work with startups who are solving industry problems with propositions and services our customers desire, and to embrace certain aspects of the startup culture.”
Startupbootcamp InsurTech’s existing partners include Admiral Group, Allianz, HDI, Intesa Sanpaolo, Lloyds Banking Group, Liverpool Victoria, Metropolitan, MJ Hudson, MMI Holdings and its Exponential Ventures unit, Momentum, Munich Re and its Ergo subsidiary, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Scottish Widows, Swiss Re, Talanx, Tryg and Unipol.
