QASymphony, a US-based software testing services provider backed by software services firm KMS Technology, has secured $40m in series C funding.
The round was led by venture capital and private equity firm Insight Venture Partners, and QASymphony did not disclose any additional participants.
Founded in 2011 by KMS co-founders Vu Lam and Josh Lieberman, QASymphony has created a software platform called qTest that helps development and quality assurance teams enhance the speed, efficiency and accuracy of software testing.
Dave Keil, chief executive of QASymphony, said: “With this series C, we plan to aggressively invest in expanding our product leadership and in growing our global sales, marketing, and customer success teams to drive greater market share in North America and Europe.”
The company has now raised $47.5m in total funding, with KMS participating in its $2.5m series A round in January 2015 along with investment advisory firm Buckhead Investment Partners (BIP) and venture capital firm Poplar Ventures.
The series A round was followed by a $5m series B a year later that was led by growth equity firm Fulcrum Equity Partners and backed by returning investor BIP.
