Fosun to invest $100m in India

Fosun Kinzon Capital, the venture capital firm sponsored solely by China-based conglomerate Fosun International, is set to invest a total of $100m in Indian businesses by the end of this year, VCCircle reported on Friday.

The news publication quoted an unnamed executive with the firm, who did not provide any additional details.

Founded in 2013, Kinzon Capital has so far largely focused on deals in China and the US. The firm focuses on sectors including fintech, digital health, online-to-offline, online travel, online education and SME services as well as artificial intelligence and the internet of things.

Kinzon Capital invests in both early and growth-stage companies, with a particular focus on businesses leveraging technologies around the mobile internet.
