Wyndham Exchange & Rentals, a US-based hotels and holiday company, has invested in the $9m series C round consortium for LeisureLink, a US-based distribution and revenue management service.
New York-listed Wyndham joined venture capital firms Clearstone Venture Partners and Mission Ventures in backing LeisureLink, which provides software for the $20bn specialty lodging market.
Rishi Nigam, vice-president of corporate and strategic development at Wyndham, said: "LeisureLink provides distribution, yield management and merchandising tools that are helping introduce thousands of new consumers to the vacation ownership industry by bringing them to our affiliated resorts as rental guests.
"Several of our timeshare affiliates have seen the ARM [Active Revenue Management] product help maximize the revenue of their rental programs, and it will also enhance the bookings we will be able to deliver to our ResortQuest property owners."
Wyndham first backed LeisureLink in October 2007 after one of its subsidiaries, Group RCI, made an alliance with the software group just after its $8.1m series B round was closed.
