Smart Axiata Digital Innovation Fund, a corporate venturing vehicle for telecommunications firm Axiata, has invested undisclosed amounts in three Cambodia-based startups, the Phnom Penh Post has reported.
Cloud banking platform Morakot Technologies, 3D printing service comparison platform Aniwaa and last-mile delivery service Joonaak Delivery were the companies that received the funding.
The $5m fund, which was formed to invest in digital service providers, has also secured Cambodia-based insurance provider Forte Insurance as a limited partner. It was launched in March this year with backing from investment and advisory firm Mekong Strategic Partners.
