Nordisk Film ventures to Multiverse

Film studio Nordisk Film has paid an undisclosed amount for a 40% stake in Multiverse, the Denmark-based operator of gaming platform Kogama.

Kogama is an online platform with 3 million users that allows them to create their own games, and Multiverse’s long-term ambitions involve it becoming a gaming version of video streaming platform YouTube.

Nordisk Film’s investment, which follows an undisclosed amount of seed funding from investment and development firm Capnova, will fund product development as Multiverse aims to add new features to Kogama.

Michal Bendtsen, Multiverse’s co-founder and CEO, said: “We are very happy to partner with Nordisk Film. The investment allows us to take Kogama to the next level. We will be able to increase our development efforts by recruiting more web and games developers, and we will commence a focused marketing effort.”
