US-based data protection provider Baffle has closed a $6m series A round that included ServiceNow Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of enterprise cloud operator ServiceNow.
The round was led by VC firm Envision Ventures with contributions from Thomvest Ventures, Industry Ventures, True Ventures and Engineering Capital.
Baffle has developed software, called Application Data Protection Service, that offers data access monitoring and end-to-end encryption for cloud-based applications.
The encryption can secure in-use data without affecting related computer programs and is available from cloud services platforms Amazon Web Services Marketplace and Azure Marketplace.
The cash will be used to accelerate product development for additional platforms and will also help boost Baffle’s sales and marketing operation.
True Ventures previously led Baffle’s $3m seed round in 2016, with participation from Engineering Capital.
