Sentrigo, a US-based provider of data security products formerly known as Monolith Security, has raised $6m in its series C round from a consortium including from equipment maker Juniper Network’s corporate venturing fund.
As a new investor, Juniper’s Junos Innovation Fund has joined venture capital firms Benchmark Capital and Stata Venture Partners in the C round.
Douglas Murray, senior vice president and general manager, high-end security and services at Juniper Networks, said: "With Juniper’s focus on securing the next-generation data centre, there are significant synergies with companies such as Sentrigo.
"As the market continues to move toward virtualization and cloud computing, Sentrigo is in a unique position to protect sensitive data, leveraging the strengths of its distributed architecture."
Benchmark had provided $3.5m to Sentrigo for its series A round in May 2007, two years after its launch.
