China-based healthcare-focused e-commerce platform Miaoshou Doctor has raised RMB500m ($79.3m) in a series C round led by internet company Tencent, DealStreetAsia reported today.
The round also included Kunling Capital, Sequoia Capital China and Qiming Venture Partners.
Founded in 2014, Miaoshou Doctor operates an e-commerce website and mobile app where users can purchase medicines and other healthcare items such as skincare and babycare products. The company said it has partnered more than 2,000 domestic pharmaceutical firms.
The company will use the series C capital to bolster its business and technology development activities.
Miaoshou Doctor previously obtained an undisclosed amount of funding from Tencent in 2015, reportedly worth tens of millions of renminbi. It has not disclosed any other funding details.
