UK-based care services marketplace Care Sourcer has received £8.5m ($11.1m) in funding from investors including insurance and financial services group Legal and General, The Telegraph has reported.
The corporate invested together with Accelerated Digital Ventures, the venture capital firm that had joined VC fund investment fund British Growth Fund’s BGF Ventures unit to supply $650,000 in seed capital for the startup in May 2017.
Care Sourcer runs an online platform that enables users requiring care to connect to local care providers based on their individual needs.
The company will use the capital to hire engineers and product specialists as it looks to expand across the UK, CEO Andrew McGinley told The Herald.
