Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Asia’s largest information services provider, will increase its focus on renewable-energy technologies and cloud computing, the company’s global head of corporate venturing said to newswire Bloomberg.
Ajoy Mallik (pictured), global head, of venture capital private equity, incubation and co-innovation (Coin), said: "These [wind, water, biomass and fuel cells technologies] are the growth engines of the future."
Coin is the worldwide external co-innovation business unit of TCS under its chief technology officer Ananth Krishnan and centred around venture funds and start-ups. Mallik said on his LinkedIn page Coin, since 2004, "the top line impact of innovation to TCS, globally, has topped $1bn through 2010".
