Seraphim selects Mission 3 finalists

UK-based private equity firm Seraphim Capital has chosen the third batch of seven startups, dubbed Mission 3, for its corporate-backed Space Camp Accelerator.

Returning partners backing the scheme include legal firm Dentons, aerospace manufacturers Rolls-Royce and Airbus, engineering services firm Cyient, satellite telecommunications provider Inmarsat, space data supplier SA Catapult and the intergovernmental European Space Agency.

Unmanned aerial vehicle developer AeroVironment, satellite and defence technology producer Kongsberg Satellite Services and satellite provider Eutelsat joined to support the initiative, as did the UK Ministry of Defence’s Defence Science and Technology Lab.

Space Camp Accelerator’s third cohort includes US-based satellite constellation-empowered global positioning system developer Xona Space and two Germany-based companies: ConstelIR and Hawa Dawa, which develop monitoring systems for orbital temperature and air quality respectively.

The finalists were completed by four more UK-based companies: optical modulator developer AXenic, satellite-based internet provider Methera Global, drone 3D mapping platform operator Trik and space-oriented hardware, software and data commercialisation company Veoware.
