The corporate venturing fund sponsored by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, the trade association for two types of US healthcare plans, has helped the parent company of US-based electronic patient management system Hello Health raise $10m in equity and debt.
The firm backed parent company Myca Health. BlueCross BlueShield Venture Partners is a $300m corporate venturing fund sponsored by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association managed by venture capital and incubation firm Sandbox Industries.
Anna Haghgooie, managing director of Sandbox Industries, said: "We are pleased with the progress Hello Health has made. With Hello Health, Myca has developed what could be the operating system that powers the primary care practice of the future."
Also in the round were Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec, Abundant Ventures and assorted angels, according to news provider VentureWire.
