IDG Ventures, a corporate venturing unit of International Data Group, and Indo-US venture Partners have reportedly helped India-based lingerie company Zivame raise an undisclosed amount of funding.
The pair of investors backed the company’s series A yesterday, according to news provider VC Circle. Zivame was founded last year and sells lingerie on-line.
T C Meenakshisundaram, managing director of IDG Ventures India Advisors, was reported by VC Circle as saying: "The lingerie category lends itself extremely well to e-commerce and this category has many successful companies globally. We believe that Zivame will be able to extend its lead significantly with this capital raise."
