Wells Fargo Strategic Capital, a corporate venturing unit of the eponymous US-based bank, has hired Rodney Altman as a managing director in its healthcare unit.
Altman had previously spent eight years as an MD at Spindletop Capital’s growth equity team having earlier been a venture capitalist since the millennium at firms including CMEA Capital.
His deals at Spindletop had included Soros Medical and Valeritas.
At Wells Fargo he joins its strategic healthcare team including John Ryan, Christine Guo and Robert Rein.
