Speaktoit, a US-based developer of human-computer interaction technologies based on natural language, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Intel Capital, the corporate venturing unit of US-listed chip maker Intel.
Maxim Krasnykh, investment director at Intel Capital, said: "Speaktoit builds products enabling next generation user interface and user experience; an area that is becoming increasingly important across a variety of platforms including mobile."
Users can donate to help develop Speaktoit’s voice application (pictured) – which will be expanded to cover Spanish as well as English, but the company says on its website: "Please note that donations are not tax-deductable as Speaktoit is not a nonprofit organization."
