Weplay, a US-based social media network for youth sports, has acquired the assets of Fastpoint Games, a local fantasy sports platform, for an undisclosed amount.
The sale provides an exit for Fastpoint’s (formerly known as RotoHog.com) backers that had provided at least $5.9m according to database CrunchBase: media investment bank Allen & Company, sports venues and entertainment owner SCP Worldwide and venture capital (VC) firms Mission Ventures and DFJ Dragon. SCP said it had invested in RotoHog in February 2007.
Weplay has raised about $13m from VC firms FirstMark Capital, Deep Fork Advisors and angel investors LeBron James and Derek Jeter.
