Uday Mehra has joined L Capital Asia, the regional corporate venturing unit of luxury goods retailer LVMH, as a managing director.
Based in India, Mehra will run L Capital Asia’s operations.
Mehra had run his fashion e-commerce start-up Zovi in India for four months after leaving clothing company Tommy Hilfiger in October last year having been its vice-president of Asia-Pacific.
L Capital, which invested in Fabindia and Genesis Luxury Fashion, has bolstered its India office in the past 12 months after roping in Sanjay Gujral from Everstone Capital as the other managing director, according to news provider Times of India.
